Who We Are
Mercy Michael Foundation (MMF) is a non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of vulnerable individuals and underserved communities across Nigeria.
We were founded in response to the growing needs of orphans, vulnerable children, adolescent girls, elderly persons, widows, and low-income communities who face limited access to healthcare, education, and essential social services.
At MMF, we believe that every life deserves dignity, opportunity, and care. Our work is rooted in compassion and driven by a commitment to create lasting, community-led impact.

What We Do
Our programs are designed to address critical social needs through integrated and sustainable interventions:
1. Education Support & Girl-Child Empowerment
We promote access to education for vulnerable children, with a strong focus on empowering girls.
Our initiatives include:
Distribution of school supplies (bags, books, writing materials)
Provision of desks and chairs to underserved schools
Support for safe and inclusive learning environments
Dignity Kit Project
A flagship initiative focused on adolescent girls, providing:
Sanitary pads and underwear
Menstrual hygiene education
Sexual and reproductive health awareness
Support to reduce school absenteeism and stigma
2. Health Programs & Community Outreach
We provide essential healthcare services to underserved populations through community-based outreach programs.
Services include:
Health education and awareness campaigns
HIV testing and counseling
Hepatitis B & C screening
Malaria testing
Blood pressure and blood sugar checks
Vaccination support (subject to availability)
Referral for advanced medical care
3. Hepatitis & Diabetes Care and Support
In response to the rising burden of chronic diseases, MMF supports individuals living with hepatitis and diabetes through:
Community screening and early diagnosis
Health education and lifestyle counseling
Linkage to healthcare facilities
Follow-up support for indigent patients
Advocacy for affordable and accessible care
This program is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of volunteer professionals, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory scientists, and public health practitioners.
4. Care for the Elderly & Widows
We support vulnerable elderly persons and widows by providing:
Food assistance
Clothing and basic supplies
Community care visits and social support
5. Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
We implement WASH interventions to promote health, dignity, and safe living conditions:
Construction and renovation of sanitation/toilet facilities
Borehole drilling for access to clean water
Hygiene education in communities and schools

Mercy Michael Foundation is based in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Nigeria, near the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja).
